Microsoft’s Developer_Direct event revealed a lineup of upcoming games coming to Xbox platforms in 2024. Here’s a summary of the five new games announced:
- Avowed (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – A fantasy action RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, featuring dynamic combat, thoughtful reactivity, and a “colorful, vibrant, strange” world. It will launch in Fall 2024 and be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
- Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II (Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud) – A sequel to the critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, set in Iceland and featuring binaural and spatial audio for an immersive experience. It will launch on May 21, 2024 and be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on day one.
- Visions of Mana (Xbox Series X/S, PC) – The first new mainline entry in the Mana series in over 15 years, featuring a gorgeous new RPG, adorable new animal companions, and fast-paced and flexible combat. It will launch in Summer 2024.
- Ara: History Untold (PC) – An innovative new historical grand strategy game from Oxide Games, featuring a crafting system, a unique approach to simultaneous turns, and more. It will launch in Fall 2024 and be available on PC Game Pass.
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Xbox Series X/S, PC) – A new adventure starring the legendary archaeologist, developed by MachineGames and executive produced by Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard. It will launch in 2024 and be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on day one.
In addition to these five games, Blizzard held a Diablo IV Developer Update livestream that revealed horrors waiting for players beneath the sands of Kehjistan in Season of the Construct, launching January 23, and introduced the competitive leaderboard activity called The Gauntlet. ZeniMax Online Studios also unveiled the game’s next major Chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online.
