Zelnick revealed that Take-Two has been in favor of the deal for some time, citing the potential benefits it could bring to Microsoft as well as the wider gaming industry. According to Zelnick, “What’s good for them is also good for the industry.”

Zelnick stated, “I think it’s important never to confuse a distribution technology with a business model. I would love to believe that streaming our titles would massively expand the marketplace. I’m not sure there’s any reason to believe that.”
Take-Two’s perspective aligns with that of other industry leaders, including EA CEO Andrew Wilson, who considered the completion or termination of the deal to be “not really material” to their company’s operations. Nvidia, another major player in the gaming sector, expressed support for the acquisition due to Microsoft’s existing ten-year deals for Call of Duty access. In contrast, Sony remains staunchly opposed to the deal.
In addition to discussing the acquisition, Take-Two also provided insights into its upcoming release slate, revealing the cancellation of multiple unannounced games and sharing ambitious business projections.
